BUY ME A TICKET

Not really sure how that happened, but my friend and I ended up at a theater playing a movie that was completely different from the one we were intended to watch. Either I spoke too fast or the person at the booth didn't understand english... But hey, when life throws you a completely different movie to go to, you make the best out of it. I did end up enjoying it a lot, but then when I exited the cinema, I wanted to cry. Not because of anything sad, but because the weather was so beautiful and blue. The sun was beaming and everything was clear. Even the clouds look fluffier. Taking this perfect opportunity of a week of perfect weather and my photography friend, we hiked up a little higher than normal to take a few shots.

If only I could dive right into the blue ocean...

THE SKY IS TOO LOW

(top from boutique (similar ones from Alice Ritter & Talulah), Uniqlo jeggings, Tory Burch wedges, Celine bag, Casio watch)
Schools out and things are rolling.

Not exactly.. because I still have summer work to do and the two or so months will pass by as soon as I wake up from deep sleep with layers of weird and elaborate dreams. However, I became one busy bee since the first day of summer. Did my art work which could have counted for a four hour arm workout. Sometimes doing something for a extended amount of time will rub off on you. Like this day where I was feeling a little spontaneous pulled out a mix and match look. A floral paired with stripped heels, then brought everything out with a bright pair of pants.

Hope my little spark of creativity can help lift anyone who is feeling uninspired today. Rock out something bright and get rolling.

KEEP FLOWING

(Forever 21 top (similar one from Nelly), Cotton On skirt, mom's boots (similar one from Saint Laurent), Fossil watch, H&M rings (similar ones from Etsy))
I have always had a thing for circle skirts. The way they mark your waist in, and stop perfectly mid-thigh. It can be worn winter and summer, styled any way you'd like to. Who can say no to that? I or two staple skirts is perfectly reasonable, but is it when your skirt collection is made up of circle skirts, circle skirts and... circle skirts. Circle skirts now sound weird to me because I insist on continuously repeating it. Circle skirts.

There is always something about pieces that when it is a perfect fit, it lures you to buy ten more in all colors and fabrics. I am guilty of that and I confess. So say Hi to the new addition, floral baby. Paired this one with a mustard top and I thought it suited perfectly for a day of gallery visits. Basil people, who went? How long did you spend looking at crazy art and what did you think of it? Tell me below! I'd love to discuss!

FLOWA POWA

(Uniqlo shirt, H&M romper (similar ones from Forever 21, Lottie & Holly & Zimmermann), belt from boutique (similar one from Nordstorm))

There is always a feeling of secrecy when you wear a romper that is disguised as shorts when you throw a shirt over it. It's not like I wished the same pattern came in shorts form (well maybe I do), but it could be as simple as 'I was going to wear the romper alone, but it got cold and I got too lazy to change all over again'. But nonetheless, this is another way to add another 'top' or 'bottom' to your wardrobe.

The day ended up being beautiful and sunny, contrasted by the blaring air-conditioning in my classrooms. So, I was happy with my smart choice of throwing a sweater on but sometimes clothes just can't satisfy all needs.

I AM NEVER LATE

(tank top similar one by Vince, skirt similar one by Elizabeth and James , necklace from Pull & Bear, sandals similar one by Candela)
Sunday brunch makes your mouth water any time of the day when it consists of french toast, grilled tomato and a spinach and avocado omelet. Easing my weekend out with a asymmetrical skirt and simple tank top, I would call this my Sunday lazy day outfit. However, shoes are important – as all girls should know or will know. I am a big fan of lace up sandals because they represent summer, goddess and effortlessness all in the tip of it's ties.

I don't have much else to say but to have a great day. We are half way done with the week and it will be Sunday brunch time again!

I WANT I WANT

(DIY ombre Ralph Lauren shirt (similar one from Free People), Esprite shorts (similar one from H&M), mom's boots (similar one from Saint Laurent), Toywatch watch, backpack from boutique (similar ones here & here))
Being woken up by the deadliest sound of lighten I have ever heard at 3a.m. was the most frightening half awake moment and the happiest moment of these last 14 dreaded days of junior years. I was shivering because I thought the lightening is going to strike through my window and hit me in my sleep and because I was grinning with hope that school is going to be cancelled. Yes – school was cancelled however, the sky continued looking depressing through the next couple of days.

Luckily, malls are everywhere in Hong Kong and shopping is the best way to spend a rainy day. Wearing my DIY ombre shirt with black shorts and my mom's supposing-ly winter boots as rain boots, I was all geared up for any water bucket madness.
